Bangalore: 14 lecturers or disguised gangsters in the teaching industry in Bangalore, have been suspended following a huge scandal in PUC final examinations of leakage of Biology and other question papers in places like Chikkaballapura and Kolar in Government Colleges. There is an organised gang of mischief mongers, tricksters and quick money-makers in this scandal surrounding final examinations conducted a steady enquiry since Thursday into the cesspool of educational merits turning into demerit and black money procurers hideout.
On Monday, Mathematics Paper was the first Casualty in Chintamani(Kolar) at 3 private PU colleges and Chikkaballapura private PU College. Show cause notices have been served on the principals, with a view to Cancel their recognitions(of the colleges). 2 persons were arrested while third accused Eshwar is absconding. Every question paper had been sold for Rs 40,000 by them, inquiring police said.
Three more persons were taken into custody by Bangalore Central Crime department police for sale of leaked question papers in Mathematics.
A primary school teacher Sidramappa was rounded in Tarikere Taluka at Kudloor on Thursday. 3 PU Colleges in Chintamani and one in Chikkaballapura were served with notices to explain the rackets.
In Tumkur, Srinivaspura, Yelahanka and other places on Wednesday, Biology science question paper got exposed before holding tests. The exams due on Thursday were called off. The students who had prepared for both exams and their parents are left in the lurch following these leakage scams. Several protest demonstrations were held by disappointed students.
It is still a mystery as to how these question papers had leaked out.
There is a nexus between lecturers of Government PU Colleges and students of private colleges.
The Government has ordered CID enquiry into all these episodes. 5 teams are formed to nab suspects. The culprits may be rounded up totally by next Monday. Chief Secretary S.V. Ranganath met education bureaucrats and discussed the issues fully.
