Mangaluru: Mayor Kavitha Sanil on Monday inspected an apartment building on Pinto Garden Road near Mary Hill which had neither a completion certificate nor paid the annual tax. She directed officials to disconnect water supply to the building which also flouted rules about Sewage Treatment Plant and other amenities.

Officials had provided water supply connection even though the building had no occupancy certificate or door numbers for its flats. While there are 24 flats in the apartment, none of them have been given door numbers since the builder has not applied for the completion certificate. The builder had allegedly violated rules by not providing amenities, including an STP. Flats also have electricity connections.
