Mangalore : The Mangalore City Corporation under the City Self Help group programme of Swarna Jayanthi Shahari Rozgar Scheme handed over the key of the compressor worth around Rs 8 lakhs to Sreedevi Swasahaya women group at Mangalore City Corporation on April 16, Monday.

Mayor Gulzar Banu handed over the key to the group members like president Jayalakshmi, Leela, Prema, Rajeevi and Anusuya.

The compressor has been purchased with the amount of Rs 2,80,000 by the SJSRY scheme and beneficiary scheme worth Rs 40,000 and loan of Rs 4,80,000 Canara Bank Kavoor branch.

Deputy Mayor Amithakala, MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar, corporator Lance Lot Pinto, Shantha R and others were present.
