Mangaluru: Vigilance week in the city organised by Mangaluru City Corporation and MRPL was inaugurated by MCC Mayor Harinath, on Wednesday at MCC office.
The vigilance week is being organised under the guidance of Central Vigilance Commission.
Addressing the gathering Mayor Harinath said that to reduce the threat of corruption in the society everyone should be vigilant. Corruption is spreading all over the country and every section has been corrupted.
“It is hard to think of development where corruption is seen. Starting from a low level worker to higher officials many are corrupted. So, we should work towards reducing the corruption in the country,” he said.
Anti-corruption pledge was advocated to the employees of the Mangaluru City Corporation by corporator Radhakrishna.
MRPL Director Prasad, Chief Vigelance Officer Ravindranath, MCC Commissioner Nazeer and others were present.
