On the basis of telecasting the false news on Suratkal Suratkal police arresting Manjunath, son of Mayor Rajani Duganna for illegally storing diesel at home, made Mayor furious and take strict action against a Kannada TV news channel.

Speaking to media, she also said that, the channel had broadcast police raiding her house and finding a large amount of illegal diesel stored which is far from the fact.

Furious Mayor said that, as soon as she heard of the news being aired, she contacted the police and demanded the justification. Replying to the explanation, police clarified that, the raid has not been conducted at Mayor’s house but another house in the locality.

Later Mayor, instructed the police to contact the news channel and clarify the issue.
