Mangalore : Speaking on the occasion of the Kargil Vijay Divas organized by the Centre for Integrated Learning (CIL), Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Dr. K.N. Vijayaprakash said that the city will soon enjoy continuous water supply. He also said that the MCC has launched several energy-saving initiatives, which will be discussed in the next council general body meeting. Mangalore is making a mark in the implementation of waste management technology too, he added.
The MCC commissioner also felicitated veteran war heroes and said that soldiers render invaluable service to the nation, adding that young people should learn valuable lessons from soldiers and contribute to the overall development of the nation.
Colonel N. S. Bhandary, Brigadier I. N. Rai, Wing Commander D. R. Belle, and Lt. Commander G. P. Mascarenhas were felicitated on the occasion.
The Navaras Hobby Dancers’ Club presented a number of cultural events after the felicitation ceremony. CREST, a part of CIL, also celebrated its anniversary on the occasion.
