Mangalore : The Mangalore City Corporation and the SK Municipal Employees Union organised a function at the MCC Conference  Hall in Mangalore on June 1, Saturday to give a warm farewell to transferred MCC Commissioner Harish Kumar who has been appointed Personal Secretary to Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake.

Harish Kumar was honoured by Srikanth, Joint commissioner of MCC. The officer said Harish Kumar has contributed a great deal towards the development of Mangalore and in finding solution to some of its problems. He also appreciated the style of functioning of Harish Kumar.

Responding to the felicitation conferred on him, Harish Kumar said  as a government officer it was his duty to accept any posting offered to him. He also said during his tenure he had disposed as many as 300 long pending files.

 Several MCC officials were present on the occasion.
