Mangalore : Vinay Kumar Sorake, Urban Development Minister and Udupi District Minister In-charge said that AICC chief Sonia Gandhi had assured him to give deserving post in AICC even if he win the election or not.
Addressing the party workers after visiting District congress office on June 17, Monday, he said that it was his responsibility to meet the party workers, elected representatives of Mangalore City Corporation before meeting Mangalore Urban Development Authority officials.
He also thanked Sonia Gandhi, Oscar Fernandes, Veerappa Moily, Janardhan Poojary and the Chief Minister Siddharamaiah for giving him an opportunity to serve the people.
He also said that one cannot speak about the developments which have to be taken place in Mangalore or Mysore, but we must sit and discuss with the MCC officials about the developmental work in districts, he said.
Sorake said that the family which is staying in the house built in a government land from 10 to 15 years will be given land rights documents. In order to avoid drinking water problem, state government will allocate funds to complete the second vented dam project, he said.
Every once in three month, a review meeting will be held in Mangalore and officers must come from Bangalore for it, he said.
Senior congress leader Ibhrahim Kodijal welcomed the gathering.
