Mangaluru : MCC officials led by Revenue Officer Praveen and Environment Officer Madhukar conducted  an eviction drive on December 30, Friday and evicted street vendors from the State Bank area. The operation was conducted with the help of personnel from Mangaluru South Police Station.

The raid followed the failure of the street vendors to carry out their business in the newly set up street vending zone near the Town Hall. The traders showed stiff resistance to the raiding team which has ultimately succeeded in evicting them.

The eviction drive also conducted at Maidan road and Central Market area.
