Mangalore: Two pubs in Mangalore were targeted by the Mangalore City Corporation officials in a raid on August 16, Thursday, on the grounds that the pubs did not have valid licence.
The Liquid Lounge near Don Bosco Hall and the pub attached to the Mangala Bar and Restaurant, Valencia were raided by a team of MCC officials including health inspectors Sushanth and Santosh and Deputy Health officer Raghunath.
The raiding team found that the newly attached pub at Mangala had no license and the kitchen was unclean. Even the food licence and the medical certificate were said to have expired. The restaurant owner has been served a notice and asked to renew licence within a week.
The officials who raided the Liquid Lounge found that it did not have permission for DG and the kitchen was in the wrong place, violating MCC guidelines.
