Mangalore: Yet another illegal abattoir in the city has been sealed by the MCC officials on June 14, Thursday. This time it is in Bunder. A team of MCC officials led by Bharath Kumar conducted the raid on the illegal slaughter house operated by one Naeem.

It is learnt Naeem is the son of Noor Mohammad whose slaughter house at Kudroli was raided and sealed earlier this month.

Though the MCC team had initially been to the Kudroli slaughter house, following reports that the slaughter house was opened after paying a paltry fine amount of Rs 2000, it was found closed. Following this, the raid took place at the slaughter house at Ansar Road at Ansar where sheep were butchered.

The slaughter house was sealed and the meat and the sheep nearly 81 sheep seized. If the meat was discarded by burying it at Pachanady dumping yard, the sheep are to be auctioned later in the day.

Other officials who were in the raiding team were Madhu S, Ranganath, Manjunath Shetty, Santosh and Yashwanth.
