Mangalore :  Nearly 15 shops including mobile shops, restaurants etc were sealed by the MCC officials who were once again on a drive on unauthorized establishments. On Monday, June 18 the target was City Centre Mall and Singapore City on KS Rao Road. The MCC raiding team was led by Health Officer Raghunath and Environmental Engineer Madhu.

All shops which were operating sans trade licenses came under scanner and were sealed. Those which were sealed include Pensive Infotech, Paris Garden , Royal Shop and My Café. The owners of these establishments did not possess valid records regarding their shops. This despite the warning given by the MCC to owners of all shops and business establishments to keep their records ready to produce before the officials during raid.

The raiding team also inspected the KFC outlet and other food stalls to ascertain the hygiene maintained by them. All the owners of the shops which were sealed were asked to first seek licenses and then reopen.
