Mangalore: Gateway Hotel in Mangalore celebrated World Environment Day by organizing various constructive programmes. The theme of this year is ‘Green Economy: Does it include you?’

“Save Earth” this was the topic for the painting contest conducted for children of Prajna Counselling Centre. The personnel of the hotel also distributed paper bags to the general public in the Central Market area in order to encourage them to reduce the use of plastic bags. A free emission test was also conducted for two-wheelers with the cooperation of the RTO and Pollution Control Board.

Peter Nirmal, General Manager of Gateway Hotel, Jayaprakash Naik, Senior Scientific Officer, Laxman, environment officer, Ramesh Vernikar, RTO, Sumanth Shetty, sales manager, and others actively participated in the programme and strived for its success.
