Kasargod: A  35 year  old Mechanical Engineer, who was employed in a private company in Muscat committed suicide at his hometown in Kasargod on Thursday.

It is said that Krishna had lost his right hand fingers in an accident while on the job in Muscat. After undergoing treatment, he returned to Kasargod about 6 months ago. His company had assured him of a job in their Indian branch. However, though Krishna sent several applications to the company’s branch in Bengaluru he failed to get a reply.

It is said that, on Tuesday, he had gone to the company’s Mangaluru branch to submit an application and returned to Kasargod the same day. He checked into a lodge and hanged himself.

The postmortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family.
