Mangalore : Newly elected Chairman of State Bar Council P P Hegde expressed his gratitude to receive the honour from his colleagues and said that he dedicates his chairman post to the members of the Mangalore Bar association since it is not for him alone.
He was speaking after receiving the felicitation at a programme held at the district court building here on October 15.
P P Hegde said that he will be often asked about his Bar Association and he is proud to say that he belongs to Mangalore bar association since Mother and mother land is close to his heart.
He said that he plans to start an office in Delhi and already have a office in Bangalore but head office will always remain in Mangalore. Further too I will special bond with the people of Mangalore and the Bar Council members since technology has developed so much with Teleconferencing, distance is not a factor any more.
Hegde assured to implement medical insurance facilities to the practicing Advocates and their families.
He also said that three members expert committee headed by advocate M V Shanker Bhat has been formed and members of the bar council must join hands to define practicing advocates and non practicing advocates in order to avail benefits to the practicing advocates and their families.
In his concluding speech P P Hegde thanked his mentors for helping him backbone to reach this height.
