Mangalore : Deepika, a resident of Kondana in Kotekar and  a II PUC student at St Agnes College, who was ailing and had been hospitalized, has died reportedly due to medical negligence.

Agitated family members even hurled stones at the hospital building after engaging in a verbal duel with the hospital authorities.

According to Deepika’s brother, Deepika had been admitted to the hospital after she was vomiting continuously on  Friday. On Saturday,  though her  condition had improved,by evening,  she had breathed her last, he said.

The family members of the deceased have registered a case against Dr Vijaykumar of the hospital.
