Mangaluru: “To create awareness regarding the importance of preventing Indian cattle breeds, a mega convention and symposium will be held from January 27 to 29 at Kulur,” said Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji of Sri Raghaveshwara Math.
Addressing the press personnel on Tuesday, he said that the concluding ceremony of Mangala GO Yatra will be held on the occasion. Public display of endangered Indian cattle breeds will be organised to aware the people.
“On 27 the yatra will arrive to the city. On January 28 from morning 9.30 to evening 5.30 symposiums will be conducted by international scientists regarding the Indian cattle breed. On January 29 ‘Maha Mangala meet’ will be organised,” he said.
He further said that 37 types of breeds will displayed on the occasion. Cattle are not for food, but it can be utilised in several ways. Nearly 1500 seers are expected to join the event.
Dr Vinay Hegde, Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and others were present.
