Mangalore : Members of the Mangaluru Hadinaalkupatna Mogaveera Samyukta Sabha organized a protest in front of DC’s office on October 15, Wednesday demanding to arrest the accused of Mogaveera leader.
Addressing the protestors, advocate Gangadhar H said that Mogaveera leader Gangadhar Pangala had died in a road accident at Suratkal on May 15. But later it was known that, an accident was deliberately caused with an aim to kill him.
He also criticized the police department for failing to arrest Sathish Baikampady, an accused in the case. The members had earlier too staged a protest and submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister through DC, but it went in vain.
He urged the government to hand over the investigation of the case to the CoD.
Mangaluru Hadinalkupatna Mogaveera Samyukta Sabha, President Rajiv Kanchan, also spoke on the occasion.
State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader accepted the memorandum from the protesting members.
