Bantwal :    In a shocking case, a person who is learnt to be mentally unstable has hanged himself after brutally stabbing his wife and mother at Neralakatte on  July 12, Friday night.

It is learnt, Abdul Hameed of Kodaje who was said to be mentally ill had first attacked his wife Asma (28)  with a butcher’s knife  and then his mother  Mariamma (55) who tried to prevent him. Both the women who are severely injured have been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore in a critical state.

Hameed had later ended his life by hanging himself.

Vittal police have begun investigations.
