Bengaluru: “CM Siddaramaiah was aware of Excise Minister H Y Meti’s sex scandal a month ago only, but he didn’t take any action,” said JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy.
Speaking to the reporters after the Meti’s resignation to his post on Wednesday, he said that this development has caused embarrassment to the state.
“Was there any need to exposing the CD? Does CM wanted the people of Karnataka to watch the scandal CD? If the resignation was tendered before releasing the CD, the government could have earned some respect,” he said.
He further said that CM was aware of it during the winter session of assembly, but still he waited till media broadcasted the CD visuals.
