Mangalore, Oct 23: Haji MH Ashraf , took in charge as a president of Akhila Bharatha Congress Seva Dal held at District Congress Office on October 23, Saturday.
Apart from it, Nanda Poojary took in charge a president of women’s unit.
The member of Congress and Seva Dal garlanded the portrait of Narayan Subbarao Hardikar.

Speaking on the occasion, Ivan D’Souza, said that Seva Dal is the main wing of Congress and can be said as other name for Congress.
He also said that, strengthening the Seva Dal is the main aim of Congress party. The discipline and patriotism present in the Seva Dal activists will further help to protect the country, he added.

Seva Dal is the soldier team of Congress party and works only for the public, without any publicity. Further there is necessary to take Seva Dal in the booth level, and then the congress will not see any failure in future.

Ex ZP president, Sadananda Poonja, said that, Congress do not have any interest in the Seva Dal. If Congress would have worked for the development of the Seva Dal, then it would have not face the present situation.

He also said that, at present, congress members just think about getting MLA seats in the party and do not involve themselves in its wing ‘Seva Dal’. The lack of interest in Congress members left the place empty to the occasion, he added.
MG Hegde, Raghu Poojary, Sujatha Ullal, Sadashiva Ullal, Vishwanath and chief convener of Seva Dal Bhimashankar  were present.
