Mangalore: It is at Marigudi (a shrine), of Urwa in Mangalore that a brutal murder, by a sharp stone, of a middle-aged man identified only as Mohammed, took place on Sunday night by bludgeoning him to death, and the fact was known only early morning on Monday (Dec 5), at 6 AM, when temple visitors saw the dead body.

Urwa police and Burke station personnel rushed to the spot to examine the facts.

The body is taken to a mortuary for further investigation in the case, by city police.
