Bangalore: The Karnatak Milk Federation(KMF) has raised the price of ‘Nandini’ milk by 3 rupees, and washed its hands off. But what it supplies as milk is not upto the mark, or not qualitative, is a fact that has been highlighted recently.
The Indian standards Institution has tested various milk samples it procured from several Indian states and their Milk Federations.
In the entire Country, it is only Goa and Pondicherry(Puducheri) states on the west and east coast that really sell nectar-like milk to buyers. These states are so small that SK district may be bigger than any one of them…
But here in Karnataka and Mangalore, where Nandini milk is sold, the adulteration of milk has reached dangerous levels, nearabout.
The state production of milk in its standard or quality, is only fourth in India.
The milk is 22% bad here, they say. In west Bengal, where Mamata Didirules, the milk is cent per cent(100%) bad in quality. In Delhi, the adulteration is as high as 70%.
In Andhra and Tamilnadu, the milk quality is second and third in the country respectively.
In a few other states, like Gujerat, Kashmir, Punjab or Rajasthan, milk standard is quite low. Could the white foam in your milk be due to a Soap mixture? You should find out Amen.
