Bantwal : A mini truck illegally carrying poultry to Kerala toppled killing 700 chickens at Vittal Marakkini on April 15, Tuesday.

The truck belongs to Shariff from Badiyadka, which was carrying 1,200 chickens was moving towards Kalladka – Kanhangad road via Adyanadka, when the driver of truck tried to negotiate the road bend at high speed.

During the incident 500 chickens died, while 200 more was swinging between life and death were taken by locals and the truck driver recovered only 500 chickens.

The three occupants of the mini truck had sustained minor injuries, whereas the front portion of the truck was damaged completely.
