Mangalore :  State Minister for Youth Services and Fisheries Abhayachandra Jain inaugurated NSS Day programmes at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya on September 24, Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the active participation in social service will increase the sense of responsibility among the students.

He also said that youth must fight for justice and help others to give justice. The students in every age of their education must be associated with some social service organization..

NSS Project Officer Dr Madhav M welcomed the gathering.  Dr Laxminarayan Bhat P briefed on the life of Late Dr N Mayya on the occasion.

Dr Sophia N Fernandes, Principal of  Roshni Nilaya presided over the function. Dr Shantharam Shetty, Vice Chancellor Nitte University, Dr B Yashovarma, Secretary of SDM Institutions and Dr MV Dilshad, President of Women’s Research Department and Dr Lakshminarayana Bhat P were present.
