Mangalore : New minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader visited sever religious shrines in and around the city in Mangalore on May 19, Sunday. He was taken in a rally to Circuit House on his arrival at the Airport. He later visited Ullal Dargah, Bhagavati Cheerumbha Temple, Ullal, Kolya Kulala Temple, Kapikad Uma Maheshwari Temple, Somnatheshwara Temple, and St Sebastian Church, Thokkottu, Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in Kudroli and Zeenath Baksh in the city.
Speaking to reporters, he said he would work for the overall development of his constituency. He also said finding a permanent solution to the sea erosion problem would be his top most priority. He said he would discharge his responsibilities in such a way that he retained the faith and trust of the people as well as live upto the expectations of the party leadership and the people.
Khader also said there would be no scope for political interference in the functioning of the police department and said he would request the party leaders to entrust a suitable post to Belthangady MLA Vasanth Bangera.
