Mangaluru : The tourism minister C P Yogeshwar handed over Rs 50 lakh each cheques to the deputy commissioners of the two districts to organise 20 Kambala events in Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi districts.
Deputy commissioner of DK, Dr K V Rajendra, received the cheque from the minister.
The state government on March 18 had approved the fund of Rs 100 lakh through Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation, Bengaluru, to hold the event in DK and Udupi districts.
Rs 50 lakh for 10 Kambalas (Rs 5 lakh to each Kambala) in Dakshina Kannada and Rs 50 lakh to 10 Kambalas of Udupi district.
