Mangalore : State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader has said that the Department will leave no stone unturned in creating awareness among the people on contagious diseases.
Speaking to reporters at Circuit House after accepting memoranda from public, Khader said he has instructed officials of the health department to go on a door to door campaign to create awareness about contagious diseases. He said officials who err in their duties will face stern action.
Continuing, Khader pointing out that four children have died out of Dengue fever in Mysore, said the department will see to it that no patient suffered for want of treatment. He said private as well as government hospitals should treat patients affected with contagious diseases with care and added the government would also come to the aid of the poor who suffer from contagious diseases.
He said the Government was committed to provide compensation to Endosulfan victims within three months. He said aspiring doctors will have to accept rural posting if they have to get their MBBS degrees.
