Udupi: Udupi District In-Charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj visited the area which was recently hit by windstorm and promised to release additional financial aid for the victims on Thursday July 7.
After inspecting the destruction he said that this matter will be discussed with revenue department and for the additional aid which required for the reconstruction of affected 191 houses.
Previously Kaup Mla Vinay Kumar Sorake also visited the spot and sanctioned Rs 10 lak as temporary relief.
“Under Basava Housing Scheme the new houses will be constructed. Muzarai department will be consulted seeking fund to repair two damaged temples in Bellarpady and Bommarbettu. The financial aid will be distributed to the victims on July 10,” he said.
One and half month old baby, Arjun who was hurt in the incident is getting treatment in Wenlock hospital, Mangaluru. Pramod Madhwaraj said that directions were given to the doctors to give best medicinal care.
“I along with MLA Gopal Poojary will meet CM Siddaramaiah to seek financial relief for the victims of Trasi mishap. I have given orders to the officials fill the vacant 211 seats in the schools and colleges under RTE,” he said.
