Udupi: Minister for Urban Development and Minister in-charge District Vinay Kumar Sorake said that confidence level in athlete’s increases with constant support and encouragement.

He was speaking after inaugurating office and the logo of State Level Boys and Girls Sport Meet 2014-15 held at Girls Government PU College, Udupi on October 22, Wednesday.

Sorake also said that, athlete’s need confidence level which is key factor for achieving good results in sports and it is only possible by support and encouragement.

The Ditrict Administration has been constantly focusing on promoting sports in the district and the athletes of Udupi District have made us proud by winning in State, National and International level Sports meet.

Further the Urban Development Department, will release the grant of rupees 10 lakh to the State Level Boys and Girls Sport Meet 2014-15.

Public Instruction Department Deputy Director Diwakar Shetty, welcomed the gathering. Vishwanath Bayari delivered the vote of thanks. Sathish Chitrapadi compered the programme.
