By pressing a button on the dais at the TMA Pai Convention Centre on Friday last (J.25), Environment and DK Minister Krishna Palemar unveiled a model of “Bearys’ Turning Point” a proposed housing complex in city. Speaking on the occasion, the state minister stated that the Beary Community was forward looking in its vision and assisted local people in a many ways. The Beary group has established educational centres of development, for all people in the city. The group is very conscious of its responsibility towards environment and has made good use of Deralakatte as a habitat. The ecology should never be damaged when we improve living conditions and plan any development project, Palemar urged. He is a builder himself of land links in the city outskirts.
He asked the Beary group to design houses for the poor people at a price they can afford to buy. He hoped the Beary G. will bring in a new era of change in the life of coastal city. Mangalore MP Nalinkumar echoed his sentiments in a following speech.
