Mangalore : The Muslim Educational InstitutionsFederation, DK & Udupi and Minorities Guidance Forum (Educational &Vocational), Mangalore will hold the felicitation programme to meritorious SSLCand PUC students and Educational Empowerment Seminar for 10th stdstudents at Town Hall on Saturday June 23 at 2 pm.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl on June21, Thursday, B A Mohideen, Former Minister for Higher Education, Govt ofKarnataka said that the Forum always worked to give information to the studentson the educational opportunity for the students available in various field. Ithas even provided information on the fund sanctioned by the central governmentand state government for the development of minorities.
He also said that the forum will identify the meritorious studentsscoring above 85 percent marks in various public examinations and honour themto encourage more number of minority students towards education.
The Forum will honour total of 220 students including 170SSLC students and 50 PUC students. The majority students studying in the minority’sschools and colleges will also be felicitated with cash prize and certificate.
PMA Razak, chairman of PLAMA Developers Ltd will inauguratethe event and B A Mohideen, Former Minister for Higher Education, Govt ofKarnataka will preside over the event.
Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundationwill deliver the motivational speech. Syed Mohammed Beary, chairman of BearysGroup of Institution will be the chief guest. Waletr Stephan Mendis, chairmanof Western Institute of Technology and B M Mumthaz Ali, president of Al BadriyaEducational Institution will be the guest of honour.
