Udupi : Traffic on the NH 66 near Udyavar was disrupted on April 15, Monday night after three buses met with an accident  near the Halima Sabju Marriage Hall. However, luckily  most of the passengers escaped unhurt while a few sustained minor cuts and wounds.

One of the bus was proceeding towards Mumbai, while other two were going towards Udupi.  The mishap took place when the driver of one bus which was in front applied a brake all of a sudden, taking the drivers of the two other buses from behind unawares. Both the buses hit against each other  and owing to the impact of the collision one of the buses even crossed the divider.  A major accident was averted as there were few vehicles on the NH at the time of the accident.

Traffic was later restored to normalcy with the help of Kaup police. A case has been registered.
