Kasargod : The ashram named Ashurakarmi Mantrika Sannidhi belonging to a sorcerer was attacked by a group of miscreants  The Ashram belonged to one Ramachandra. An Ashram worker named Vijay was attacked and two vehicles damaged in the incident.

It is learnt, the assailants also robbed  a cash of Rs 14 lakh and 28 sovereigns of gold during the attack.  Police have registered cases against several following a complaint by Ramachandra. It is learnt a speech delivered by Ramachandra at Hosangady inciting communal sentiments, is the reason for the attack.

Kumble and Manjeshwar police officials visited the spot. Police protection has been provided to the Ashram following the incident.
