Mangaluru :  Some miscreants attacked cops who were on duty at a checkpost in Kuloor in Kavoor police station limits on Friday night.

It is learnt four men who came by two bike all of a sudden attacked the policemen on duty, snatched their pistols and even broke them by throwing them on the ground.

Additional police personnel who rushed to the spot have taken four persons into custody. All of them are said to be students of a college in the city and were reportedly under the influence of intoxicants, police said.

A case has been registered in Kavoor police station.
