Mangaluru: A group of miscreants who came in a car attempted to abduct a student at Kinya near Natekal, Konaje on Friday.

Muhammad Sayyad (12) is the child who escaped from the clutches of kidnappers. He is a student of Deralakatte Nethaji higher primary school and resident of Sankesha.

Kidnappers tried to abduct Muhammad in front of Kinya GP office by tying cloths to his mouth. Meanwhile, kidnappers injured Muhammad using a blade. After seeing a bike which was nearing the kidnappers Omni car, they left him and escaped from the spot.

Muhammad has been admitted to Kanachur Hospital.

Previously another student was stabbed by miscreants and two murder attempts were taken place in the region.
