Udupi: A boy aged 14-year was found dead after he hung himself at Kunjal near Brahmavar here on Sunday August 9.
The boy was missing on Saturday August 8 was found dead on Sunday August 9. in a secluded spot at Kunjal near Brahmavar. He was identified as Prajwal Acharya, son of Vittal and Prema Acharya, residents of Kunjal. He was 9th standard student of VKR Acharya Memorial high school, Kunjal.
For the past eleven days he had not attended school, though dress in uniform he left home every day. Only for three or four days, he had fever and did not attend school and rest of the days but must have gone somewhere else, said the police. His teachers contacted his parents and enquired about his long absence and he was questioned. Family sources said even after questioning Prajwal his parents never chose to punish.
Again on Saturday, he left from home in uniform, but did not go to school and school authorities again informed the parents and a search was conducted, for the boy but could not find him anywhere. On Sunday morning, he was found hanging by a belt from a small tree in a wooded area at Kunjal. Prajwal happened to be the only child of his parents earn thier living by doing coolie work. Prajwal for the past one week seemed to depressed and no death note was found on him.
Brahmavar police have registered a case.
