Bantwal : A young couple who had fled on Dec 26 and entered in to a wed lock recently arrived at the Vittal Police Station on Jan 3 Monday.

Renita D’Souza (19) of Salethoor had told her parents that she was going to visit a dentist since she had taken an appointment, but escaped with Ashraf, and had a registered marriage with him.

When the couple appeared at the Vittal Police Station, the girl’s family requested her to come home, she said that she would prefer to go with Ashraf.

However police managed to control the situation, when the heated exchange of words took place. Renita also refused to go to her parents’ house for a day even though Ashraf requested her.
