Udupi : A sixty year old man, who went missing, was found dead Uppoor river near Santhekatte, on Saturday July 10 morning.

It is said,  the deceased Sridhar Mayya had left his mobile phone at home itself. Later on the same day, Kameshwar temple received a registered letter which was sent byhim. He had mentioned in the letter of ending his life.

Locals who spotted the body floating, informed the police. The deceased Sridhar Mayya’s wife and daughter identified the body.

The body was lifted with help of fire personnel and police and shifted to the hospital for postmortem.

Mayya was battling health issues and was on medication at home itself.  Police suspect that the deceased must have jumped into the river on Friday.
