Bangalore: The Complainant, Yelahanka resident, V. Shashidhar was fined Rs 5000 while rejecting his private petition against Shanker M. Bidri, Home minister R. Ashok, and ex-CM Yeddyurappa for misuse of power, by Lokayukta special court Judge N. K. Sudheendra Rao on May 3.
The petitioner had alleged that in 2010-11, 52 police persons were transferred by the then CM (BSY) and R. Ashok, thus misusing their power to issue certificates of transfer.
The Complaint also covered S.T. Ramesh and Neelam Achyutha Rao, two officers who had become DGP-IGPs in a period of 2 Years.
Bidri and infant likewise became DGP-IGPs in 2011-12. Infant and Bidri will retire on June 30, with Infant as current-DGP-IGP of state.
Judge Raw decided hat the complaint did not come under his jurisdiction, and dismissed the petition without on enquiry. He fined Shashidhar for wasting Lokayukta Court’s valuable time with his insignificant Complaint.
