Mangalore : The students of the Manipal Institute Of Technology( MIT) Prakyat Raj, Sayeed Abdulla Tavad, Apoor Prem and Stayam have designed a new model three-wheeler vehicle ‘Monster Trike’ motor bike suitable for the `Physically Challenged’ for their final year project. The bike was demonstrated to public and media at wood lands hotel here on 28th May.
This project was initiated a few months ago, our project guide Ravishankar Baliga and HoD Rammohan Pai have named this project, said project worker Prakyath.
The vehicle had facial appearance of Automatic transmission, built in three-wheeler, 1000 cc engine with two-seater capacity, Hayabuza front tire, smaller rear wheels, front portion from Royal Enfield Thunderbird.
The manufacturing cost of the vehicle was approx Rs.3 lakh, the maximum speed upto 140 Km per hour, on roads in top condition and the mileage it offers is around 23 Km per litre of petrol.
The project workers Sayyed Abdul, Prakyath, Apoorv Prem, Satyam, Team guieds and others were present on the occasion.
