Mangalore : There has been a mixed response to the first budget of the Congress government presented by CM Siddaramaiah.
KCCI President Mohammad Ameen described it as a populist budget and added more importance has been given to agriculture rather than industry.
Vasudev Boloor, General Secretary, Karnataka State Fishermen’s Parishad has welcomed the increase in funds sanctioned under Matsyagandha scheme to Rs 1.20 lakhs from Rs 60,000.
Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) president Prasadraj Kanchan described the Budget as a balanced budget. He also welcomed the approval of the proposal to develop Hejamady Fisheries harbor.
