Udupi: Senior Congress leader and Byndoor MLA Gopal Poojary have rejected the offer to be the president of State Forest Development Corporation.

He has said that, personally he contacted AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes and forest Minister Ramanath Rai and informed them regarding his decision.

Though he was elected as MLA for the fourth time he didn’t get a chance to get entry in state cabinet. “I don’t want any post just for the sake of chair and car, where I can’t perform my duties properly,” he said.

During the last cabinet expansion he was a candidate for ministerial post and his post was given to Pramod Madhwaraj. He is unhappy with the corporation that has given to him.
