Mangalore : JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South paid a surprise visit to the Backward Class Students Hostel  at Kadri and Ashoknagar in Mangalore on September 19, Thursday in the backdrop of the recent gheraoing of his residence by ABVP activists demanding to solve  the problems of the hostel.

The MLA  interacted with  the student sand hostel authorities and directed the staff to ensure that the students felt comfortable in the hostel.

The MLA later said the condition of the hostel was good when compared to some private hostels. He said he will be visiting such hostels even in the future,

 Nagaveni, Corporator, Renuka, Arun Furtado, MCC officials and some Congress leaders were present.
