Mangaluru : The meeting chaired by MLA Vedavas Kamath and Mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar on the future activities of the central market of the Mangalore City corporation was held on April 27.
Speaking on the issue MLA Vedavas Kamath said that the to complete the construction work of temporary sheds for the vegetable and fruit retailers in the central market within a week. He also said the evacuation of traders from the temporary shed after the completion of the Smart City project also discussed in the meeting.
The project comes under 3.60 acre area, the PPP model is aimed at addressing any issues that may arise for vegetable, fruit, and market vendors, Or if such a scenario is created, it is a comprehensive thought to identify the area under which the policer will be subjected during the course of the work due to the construction of the PPP model.
The full details of this work will be available to the public in the next days. “If business people are confused or any doubt, they can meet with the mayor and get information,” Kamath said.
Smart City Officer Nazeer, Commissioner Shanadi Ajit Hegde, Deputy Commissioner Santosh Kumar, Deputy Mayor Vedavathi, Standing Committee Chairman Purnima, Jagdish Shetty, Mangalore Urban Development officers, Smart City Officers and Mangalore City corporation Officers were present.
