Bangalore: The Lokayukta special Court Judge Sudhindra Rao refused to grant bail to former BJP strongman and minister, Katta Subramanya Naidu, now MLA, and his son BBMP corporator Jagdish, and Itasca MD, Srinivas, who were asked to be present in the Court on September 19 when their imprisonment had ended, and told them that their judicial custody had been extended upto October 26, over a month now. Katta’s bail application was postponed to September 24 for enquiry and the judge their lawyer so.
The Judge also gave instructions to Lokayukta prosecutor to raise objections on September 24, against Katta’s bail application, given by his lawyer on the pretext that katta had cancer and was suffering.
The judicial custody continues in extension at present, in view of rejection of bail to katta S.Naidu. A Further decision will come on September24, when the bail application is coming up for enquiry.
Judge Sudhindra Rao declared that accused No.4(Venkaiah)and 5 (Jaggaiah) were “legal absconders”, as they had disappeared even after a warrant went after them, and the police could not trace them out. He asked the Lokayukta Police officials to publish the news in all the daily papers, as they were offenders not answering the Court Summons till now.
