Puttur: The government has provided a new office to the Chief Minister’s Parliamentary Secretary Shakunthala Shetty. She is MLA of Puttur assembly constituency.
Her office has started functioning from Wednesday. She has received this facility of new office after a year after appointing as the parliamentary secretary of chief minister.
The post is equivalent to the cabinet minister’s post and the post was allotted to her on November 4, 2015 along with nine other MLA’s in the state. Shakunthala Shetty had allotted Kannada and cultural department and she was facilitated with a car, but not with an office.
Now a new office room has been allotted to her in Kannada and culture department office. On Wednesday, she inaugurated the office by lighting a lamp.
“I never asked for an office, but I needed an office for my official works. The government has provided it without asking it. I have received it with happiness,” said MLA Shakunthala Shetty.
