Mangaluru: Karkala MLA, chief whip of the opposition in the legislative assembly, Sunil Kumar did intensive promotion for Mangaluru South candidate D. Vedavyas Kamath and received unprecedented response from the voters on Thursday.
Though Sunil Karkala is contesting the election, he took part in the ‘Padayatre’ up till Jeppinamogaru, thanked the voters who have personally supported the party and boosted the morale of the party workers. He requested that they help in realizing Vedavays Kamath’s victory by a large margin.
In the morning the programme began with him joining the youth workers in to the party at Nagori. From there he went on a ‘Padayatre’ till Garodi surrounded by hundreds of workers.
In the last five years, MLA’s have never visited this area and the problems have persisted, he complained.
Speaking to workers at Ujjodi he said “Siddaramiah’s bad administration has largely affected the coastal districts. Therefore the people have decided to put an end to this administration.”
“When centre’s Narendra Modi and state’s Yeddyurappa administration become one, Karnataka will witness not only development, but also the creation of a peaceful and well facilitated environment for our existence” he said.
“After the May 5th rally by Narendra Modi, the coastal political picture will change,” he said.
Mangaluru Corporation BJP members, BJP members and hundreds of workers took part in the ‘Padayatre’.
