Mangalore : Reacting to the statements of senior BJP leader and former Deputy CM KS Eshwarappa, “What would happen if Eshwarappa’s wife is raped? What will be his reaction? MLC Ivan D’Souza questioned.

Speaking to reporters at his office on Saturday November 8, Ivan said, we will not allow Eshwarappa to enter Dakshina Kannada district, he cannot give political turn to personal matters. Eshwarappa which statement made to the Chief Minister and Home Minister, sexual assault cases will take action only after their daughters were raped.

He said, when BJP government had the power, His own colleague H Halappa had tried to rape his friend’s wife. Eshwarappa ‘should control his tongue to giving such statements and he must give resignation from opposition leader post.

The state government is taking very seriously steps on Nandita’s death case and the CID also doing the investigation. The government has initiated several measures to ensure strict punishment to accused in cases of sexual assaults, he said.

Speaking about development works on his three months’ tenure as MLC, almost Rs 45 lac has been released out of Rs 50 lac of MLC fund for various purposes.
