Bengaluru : R Ashoka, Hon’ble Minister for Revenue and Bengaluru Rural District in charge launched the mobile clinics on Monday for Covid testing. He also distributed medical kits in rural areas. These mobile clinics consisted of doctors, paramedics and ASHA workers who visit various areas where the Covid cases are rising. The symptomatic and asymptomatic patients will be tested by doctors along with distribution of Covid medical kit. A total of 60 teams have been formed wherein 15 teams will be deployed for each taluk in Bengaluru Rural district.
Speaking to the media, Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka said, “We have launched a unique concept where the doctors are now heading towards villages to provide treatment for Covid patients thrice in a week. The mobile clinics will visit villages where the doctors will check the health status of the people. The symptomatic patients will be tested for Covid. If the disease is mild, they will be provided treatment at home and in case of severity, such patients will be referred for hospitalisation. The mobile clinics will be helpful in early detection of Covid.” The Revenue Minister also thanked the doctors and paramedics for their service. Bengaluru Rural Deputy Commissioner K Srinivas was present on the occasion.
